Sweet Petunias is in compliance with the Missouri Department of Revenue and the IRS. Any clients living in the state of MO must pay 7.9% sales tax in addition to the purchase price of the kitten. We are located in St. Louis County, MO. All of our cats are registered with the CFA. We will ship our kittens using Continental Petsafe Program or private transport when available. Shipping is $300 which includes airfare, health certificate and carrier. All of our kittens are sold with a contract whether the kitten is show or pet quality. Sweet Petunia's kittens are offered with a one year health guarantee. All kittens sold as pets must be spayed or neutered within 6 months of age. Registration papers will be provided with kittens sold as pets only after proof of spaying/nuetering is received by a liscensed veterinarian. Breeding rights are sold on a very limited basis and $500 will be added to the price of the kitten. All of our kittens are sold with age appropriate vaccinations given by my vet.
While I strive to provide clients with a kitten that has CFA qualifications, that is not my overriding consideration on pricing. More work goes into raising these babies than you would believe. I do ask more for rare colors like solid chocolates or chocolate torties, lilacs or kittens of very high quality. You will be able to find kittens at a lower price. But I can guarantee you'll not find kittens who have more attention, care and socialization given to them. Please see my testimonials page and feel free to ask me for references. And remember, you get what you pay for. Each cat/kitten gets hugged and loved and played with every single day. I stay small so that no one feels neglected, which I think happens in a large cattery. I think the reason my kittens seem to make such incredible, loving pets is that myself, my children and my dogs spend so much time with them every day. Each new baby is handled, talked to and physically loved. My main goal is to match a client to the perfect kitten and provide a wonderful loving longtime companion.
We require a $400 NON REFUNDABLE deposit to hold a kitten. We will not hold a kitten without a deposit. We no longer accept Paypal. We accept checks, cash, money orders, or wire transfers for the deposit and final payment. Balance is due 14 days before your kitten is shipped or picked up. Pet quality kittens start at $800 and up. Show potential babies range from $1000 to $2500 with rare colors such as chocolate and lilac ranging a bit higher.
After your deposit is received, you will receive a copy of our contract via email. Please print this document, sign, date and return it to us as soon as possible. Kittens will not be shipped if the contract is not signed and returned to Sweet Petunias. Deposit will also be forfeited.
Kittens of a litter do not mature at the same rate. We do not pre-select an age at which an entire litter is ready for its new home. Instead we watch each kittens interaction with it's siblings, it's mother, and it's human family. We then decide when the time is right for the baby to leave our nest. We love these babies and they are part of our family so we reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time. If deposit has been received, you will receive a full refund.
